CONTINUUM To Host Tom Jackson (All Things BBQ) And Jeff Bud (Apocalypse BBQ) At SOBEWFF 2025
Continuum, South Florida’s premier resort-style oceanfront condominium residences, announces its sixth year of participation in The Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (SOBEWFF®), taking place February 20–23, 2025. South Florida’s iconic name in luxury living will be joining forces with two of today’s most celebrated barbeque chef personalities.
The Patio restaurant at the Continuum in Miami Beach will once again present a preeminent evening of majestic gastronomy under the stars, hosted by the iconic Tom Jackson of All Things BBQ, and Jeff Bud of Apocalypse BBQ, who will join forces with The Patio’s Executive Chef Claudio Lobina on Saturday, February 22nd starting at 7:00 p.m. Continuum residents and guests will enjoy a decadent four-course dinner menu featuring world class cuisine by three of today’s leading culinary maestros.
Chef Tom Jackson is a Kansas native, born and raised in Wichita. In 2008, he and his wife moved to Portland, Oregon where he attended Oregon Culinary Institute. After graduating from Oregon Culinary Institute, he began working as a bread baker and pastry chef at the renowned Ken’s Artisan Bakery in Northwest Portland. He spent more than four years honing his skills under James Beard Award-winning chef and owner Ken Forkish. Longtime friends of the Cary family, owners of All Things Barbecue, he returned to Kansas to help the spot continue to excel in their cooking classes. Tom has been developing recipes and teaching cooking techniques at All Things Barbecue since March 2014.
What started as a casual backyard barbeque by Chef Jeffrey Bud, soon evolved into a full-fledged business in Miami. Jeff’s passion for smoking meats and creating unique flavor combinations resonated with locals, and Apocalypse BBQ became a beloved destination for those seeking an unforgettable dining experience. In 2021, Jeffrey took the leap and officially opened Apocalypse BBQ in Miami, and the restaurant quickly became a hit, attracting BBQ enthusiasts and adventurous eaters alike. With its eclectic atmosphere, diverse menu, and tantalizing flavors, Apocalypse BBQ established itself as a culinary force to be reckoned with.
“We’re pleased to announce our sixth year of participation in the South Beach Wine & Food Festival,” says Rishi Idnani, Managing Director of the Continuum. “We’re excited to welcome two of today’s leading barbeque personalities, including our very own homegrown Miami talent. The combined flairs of Chef Claudio with Chef Jackson and Chef Bud will be sure to offer our guests at The Patio an evening of culinary excellence.”
Chefs Tom Jackson and Jeff Bud will be showcasing their respective signature favorites as they headline this official SOBEWFF® event alongside Claudio Lobina, the Executive Chef of The Patio at the Continuum. Chef Lobina will join forces with Jackson and Bud, to bring his own flavors of the Italian and Mediterranean region to form a truly eclectic menu.
Guests will enjoy an exclusive menu comprising of passionfruit scallops, foie gras macarons, sliced cowboy link ground brisket and candied jalapenos, pork belly with cheese grits and hot honey, super brisket ravioli with amarone reduction, smoked Mediterranean ribs and Cheshire Spare Ribs with a Mediterranean rub and fresh cucumber tzatziki salad.
Nestled in the center of the Continuum’s sublime grounds, The Patio restaurant will transport diners to an outdoor oasis for this special SOBEWFF® dinner, paired with a delicious selection of wines from the Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits portfolio.
