Broward County Library’s Stirling Road Branch Library in Hollywood, Florida has been renamed to honor longtime Library advocate and volunteer, Marta-Beth Friedman. For more than 20 years, Friedman was an active member of Libraries’ Advisory Board and played a key role in establishing two new branch libraries in her hometown of Hollywood. She was also an advocate for building a strong connection between libraries and schools, to benefit children’s education.
