The Coral Gables Golf & Country Club is celebrating its centennial this year. The city-owned country club, originally built by city founder George Merrick in 1923 as a haven for families and golf lovers was the city’s first public facility. Today it offers an athletic club with state-of-the-art equipment and group fitness classes, six Har-Tru clay tennis courts, and Le Parc Café as well as multiple event spaces with room for up to 500 people.
