Mayor Vince Lago proclaimed October as National Arts and Humanities Month in Coral Gables. Mike Eidson, founder of Coral Gables’ newest art organization, Sanctuary of the Arts, accepted the proclamation on behalf of the many artists and arts organizations that enrich the cultural life of the City Beautiful. During the presentation there was a performance by cellist Javier Hernandez.

“I salute Mr. Eidson for his work in establishing the Sanctuary of the Arts in our city,” said Lago. “This art-led institution will provide residents and visitors the opportunity to experience events, performances, and activities in our downtown.”
