Coral Gables Merrick House

Step back into the roaring twenties with a tour of the beautiful Historic Coral Gables Merrick House Museum. Inside this charming home with 14 rooms, you can view original family furnishings, period architectural details, and artwork created by the family. During the tour, you will hear the fascinating story of the Merrick family’s rise to become millionaires and learn about George Merrick, who was a poet, farmer, and founder of the City Beautiful of Coral Gables. After the tour, take a stroll through the 1.3 acre grounds to see the historic grotto filled with 10 species of fish, the Heritage Garden, and the lily pond. Photo opportunities are available on the expansive wraparound porch that is set amongst the flora creating a beautiful backdrop for photographs.
